Ann DeMatteo

From staff reporter to Assistant Metro Editor in over thirty years in print journalism with the New Haven Register, DeMatteo has written features and promoted Hamden arts events throughout that time. She is the author of the award-winning Register “Inspirations” column and has served area organizations as a freelance public relations advisor producing press conferences, printed programs, and media events for public concerts and pageants. A popular public speaker, she is widely known for her journalistic support of breast cancer awareness.
