Fenno Follensbee Heath

Internationally-renowned composer, teacher and choral conductor, Yale grad Heath (1926-2008) was Yale’s Marshall Bartholomew Professor of Choral Conducting and University Glee Club director from 1953-1992. His honors include the Yale Medal, the Sanford Medal, the Yale Glee Club Medal, the University Glee Club of New York City Medal, the Mory’s Cup, and the Vernon Prize for composition. The Yale Glee Club conducts a composition competition annually for the Fenno Heath Award to encourage the development of traditional Yale choral songs.
