Patricia Hastings Howd

Howd (1923-2011) attended Hamden Hall Country Day School in the 1930s while a resident of Hamden. She pursued life-long personal interests in cartooning, typography and bas relief works of animals and heads in copper sheets that were exhibited in galleries in Massachusetts and Connecticut. She was a descendant of Thomas Hastings who arrived in Boston in 1634 on the ship The Elizabeth.
