Peter Menta

Librarian Menta is director of Children’s Services at Plumb Memorial Library, Shelton, CT. A graduate of Fordham University and Southern Connecticut State University, he is the leader of Washboard Slim and the Bluelights, a jug band that plays “traditional American popular music” and has performed throughout Connecticut and such other music venues and events in Memphis, Louisville, Woodstock, Birmingham and Winnipeg. Menta has also developed a solo performance called Musical Storytimes, an interactive approach to storytelling for children of various ages.
