Deborah Fischer Teason

Teason is a composer, musician, teacher and band conductor/director with local and national award-winning credentials. Classically trained at Arizona State University, the Hartt School, Yale and the Metropolitan Opera Guild along with private composition studies, she has composed numerous original works, a substantial number in conjunction with student choruses, bands, orchestras and ensembles. Hamden audiences are most familiar with the performances of the St. Luke’s Steel Drum Band which she directs.
