Holly Whiting
"Through my work - paid or charitable, public or private � I provide people the medium to express their own unique aspirations or visions. By making art and defining spaces, I build bridges," says Holly Whiting, owner and principal painter of Artistic Finishes in Hamden. Whiting collaborates with designers, architects and homeowners to develop unique design solution for walls, ceilings, molding, furniture and cabinetry, in both residential and commercial applications. Whiting previously held the positions of Instructor and Class Coordinator at Creative Evolution in Durham and Senior Drafter at Spiegel Zamecnik & Shah Inc. in New Haven. Whiting received her B.A. in Studio Art from SUNY Albany in 1985. Whiting’s charitable contributions include participation in and donation of artwork to the Leonardo Challenge at the Eli Whitney Museum; donation of artwork to the Canvas Peace Project and participation in the Philanthropic Mural Project for veterans at the IDAL convention in Reno, Nevada.
