Judy Sirota Rosenthal

Raised in rural New York State, Rosenthal graduated from Tufts to follow a career in medical sociology. She later embraced the life of an artist with a sociologist’s eye. She has been a recipient of several arts awards, fellowships and grants and her work in various media has been exhibited in solo and group shows in galleries and museums nationwide including the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art (Ridgefield, CT), Yeshiva University Art Museum, the Skirball Museums (New York and Cincinnati), the Spertus Museum (Chicago) and the Chesterwood Museum (Stockbridge, MA). More recently her art and profession have turned to freelance photo-journalism. She has worked on documentary projects in the Ukraine, Russia and Bali.
