Dear Teachers and Community Arts Partners,

We are now accepting nominations for our 35th Annual Hamden “Salute to Young Artists”. The Salute is an annual performance showcase, gallery exhibit, award ceremony and overall celebration of Hamden students’ talents in the Arts held here in Thornton Wilder Hall.

(1.) Please use this form to nominate up to five (maximum) Senior Students who are Hamden residents that you feel have exhibited exceptional talent, skill or commitment in the arts. The arts may include but are not limited to: theater, spoken word, visual arts, performing arts, dance, vocal performance, instrumental, recited poetry, etc. (2.) Your nominations will be reviewed by commissioners and then (3.) we will email those students who fit our criteria with a letter of congratulations for being selected as an awardee and a link asking for details on how the student plans to participate in the celebration: as either a performing artist or a visual artist. (Performing Artists will be given the opportunity to perform a three minute performance of their choice in the showcase portion of the evening while Visual Artists will have their work displayed in the Thornton Wilder Lobby) The Salute to Young Artists this year is on Friday, May __th at 7pm in Thornton Wilder Hall (Miller Library Complex at 2901 Dixwell Ave., Hamden).
