David Chevan

Chevan is a bassist, contemporary composer, professor of music at Southern Connecticut State University and a music maker at heart. His performing background has migrated from Gospel to Polish to Klexmer to Italian-themed ensembles. Chevan’s composing as well as his group "The Afro-Semitic Experience" champions a meld of jazz improvisational practice and Jewish liturgy. He is a member of the Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation Board of Trustees.
