Franz Douskey
Author of poetry and prose in hundreds of publications, Douskey is equally comfortable writing about baseball, marriage, boxing, New Haven pizza, the Marharishi Mahesh Yogi, or his literary associate James Dickey. In earlier times as musician T.L. Meade, he was an intimate of Memphis legends Sam Phillips, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. He has taught at Yale and Gateway Community College and has been a local radio show host on WQUN. He is the author of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize-nominated West of Midnight: New and Selected Poems.
