Jeffrey Douma
Director of the Yale Glee Club and associate professor of Choral Conducting at the Yale School of Music, Douma has a bachelor’s in music from Concordia College, and a master’s and doctorate in conducting from Michigan University. He has prepared programs, conducted choirs and appeared as a guest conductor in an extensive performance schedule in music venues all over the world. As a solo tenor and ensemble performer, he has appeared with many national choirs including the Dale Warland Singers, Bella Voce of Chicago, the Oregon Bach Festival Chorus and the Robert Shaw Festival Singers. Douma established the Yale Glee Club Emerging Composers Competition and the Fenno Heath Award. He is also the choirmaster at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford.
