Joan Fitzsimmons

Fitzsimmons is a professor of art at Norwalk Community College. Her solo exhibits include shows in Portland, OR; Pittsburg, PA; Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Kansas City, MO, and in Connecticut. Her work can be found in the collections of several museums including the William Benton Museum of Art at UCONN, the Brooklyn Museum of Art (NY), the University Gallery at UMass, and the San Francisco Museum of Art (CA). She has taught local art workshops and helped to organize arts activities and conferences in the Hamden area. She is a proud benefactor of the Eli Whitney Museum annual art auction.
