Deborah Freedman
Former architect, now author and illustrator of children’s picture books, Freedman has published Scribble (Knopf, 2007), a finalist for the Connecticut Book Award in 2008, and Blue Chicken (Viking, 2011) with two more in progress. She was an art history undergrad at Yale who went on to earn a master’s degree in architecture from Harvard. She visits schools throughout Connecticut as an advocate of children’s literature.
