Peter Hereld

Hamden Arts Commission emeritus, Peter C. Hereld (1920-2010) was founder and president of The Hereld Organization, a consulting firm for the chemical and food ingredient industries. Mr. Hereld was a tireless supporter of and key fundraiser for the cultural arts in Hamden. In 2009 he was honored with a mayoral proclamation for raising $10,000 in nine months for the arts. His generosity continued with a major bequest to support the Commission’s Sunday Series.
