Riccardo Hernandez
Prodigious scenic designer for regional, on and off-Broadway, and international productions, Hernandez is a native of Cuba and a MFA graduate of the Yale School of Drama. The breadth of his work ranges from productions of Chekhov’s The Seagull to Philip Glass’ opera Appomattoxto Hal Prince’s musical Parade to Suzan-Lori Parks’ Pulitzer Prize-winning play Topdog/Underdog. Among his New York credits are over two dozen productions at the New York Shakespeare Festival/Public Theatre. He has received two Drama Desk Award nominations for Outstanding Set Design for a Musical (Radiant Baby, Parade) and a 1999 Tony Award nomination for Best Scenic Design (Parade).
