Robert C. Crotty

Hamden resident, Crotty (1954-2011) was a performing blues musician in New Haven’s music scene for over four decades. Considered a scholar of the blues, Crotty was well-known as a teacher and mentor to local musicians and an unreserved supporter of blues enthusiasts. Among his recordings are Stay Away From the Windows (2004) and Goin’ Down the Wire (with David Bobo Lavorgna, 2005).
